IB Exam Preparation Meeting Slides
IB Exam Structure:
Each IB course Internal and External assessments required by IB.
- Internal assessments are projects, essays, or presentations developed by IB that the classroom teacher grades and submits.
- External assessments are seated exams at the end of an IB course (April/May). Each IB course has at least 2 external assessments to take.
- Note: IB Visual Arts and IB Theatre Arts do not have seated exams, but rather larger projects to complete.

IB Exam Cost Information:
In general, each score costs approximately $109
- Already discounted by Oregon Department of Education
- Fee waivers for students qualified for free and reduced program - must complete the Family Income Confirmation Form.
- If your household does not qualify for the F/R program, but you still need some assistance, please fill out our Scholarship Request Form. Financial support may include a payment plan, a discounted rate, or a waiver of fees.
- Submission of registration = obligation to pay fees. Late fees for changes/registration after Oct. 31st deadline.
- Late Registration adds $35.
- Juniors can take a maximum of 2 SL exams if they are in the diploma program.
